WHS Art Students Win Organ Donor Awareness Competition

Organ Donor Puzzle of Kentucky

In April, WHS art students and Mr. Walters teamed up with The Grant County Circuit Clerks office for an Organ Donor Awareness project.  Each year, the Northern Kentucky regions of Kentucky Circuit Clerk’s compete by decorating their offices to promote organ donor awareness in April.  With the help of Mr. Walters and 3 of his students, The Grant Co Clerk’s Office won the competition (sponsored by LifeCenter, Ohio).  The northern Kentucky regions include Kenton, Boone, Owen, Pendleton, Campbell, and Gallatin as well as Grant Counties.

Mr. Walters and his students (Mallory, Brooklynn, and Jacob) created a puzzle in the shape of Kentucky with the theme “Your Organ Could Be Someone’s Missing Piece”.

The artwork is on display and can be seen in the lobby of the Grant County Courthouse.

Congratulations to Mr. Walters, Mallory, Brooklynn, and Jacob on your award winning project.   Thank you to the Grant County Circuit Clerk’s Office for promoting organ donor awareness.
