Parent Information About Alcohol, Tobacco, Other Drugs, and Violence
As a parent, you know there are risks out there that you never experienced as a young person, and you're probably doing your share of worrying about your child. Alcohol, illegal drugs, internet risks, prescription drugs, sexual risks -- our children are encountering these and more challenges. The good news is that there are more and more resources to assist you, a parent, with the issues your child faces.
The purpose of Safe and Drug-Free Schools is to provide prevention education and intervention in substance abuse and aggressive behaviors, and to help schools stop violence; prevent illegal use of alcohol, tobacco, and drugs; and foster a safe, drug-free learning environment.
Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs
Alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs destroy people before they realize it. Kids are even more vulnerable to the damaging effects of substance abuse.
