Summer Reading Info
All of our students are encouraged to continue reading over the summer. Reading is a low-stress way to keep language and writing skills fresh and all types of reading are acceptable: newpapers, magazines, e-books, charts, maps, fiction, non-fiction, etc.!
Students entering grades 1-4 are keeping a paper log and creating a poster over one of the books they read this summer. Students were given a copy of this before leaving school; however, a copy is also linked to the right of this page.
Students entering grades 5-8 and 9-12 can participate in summer reading by joining a Google classroom with their school email. Prompts will be posted every two weeks and prizes for participants will be given away every two weeks. Prizes may be picked up from the Grant County Public Library during the summer, or on the first day back to school at Williamstown.
The codes to join the Google classrooms are as follows:
entering grades 5-6: g5uwhb
entering grades 7-8: m6ep3d
entering grades 9-12: pw5fon
Have a great summer!
