Kindergarten Sight Words

Sight words, also referred to as high-frequency words, are the words that readers encounter most often in reading materials.  The ability to read these words is necessary for fluent reading.  Since many sight words are not phonetic, students need repeated practice to recognize the words on sight.  Listed below you will find the sight words we introduce to our students in kindergarten in our reading program.
