Hello!  My name is Ashley Smith, and I am eager to be your child’s third grade teacher this year!

I would like to take a moment and share a little bit about myself.  I was born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky, and I currently reside in Corinth.   I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership from Georgetown College.  This is my tenth year as a third grade teacher.   Prior to teaching third grade, I spent much of my time as a substitute teacher right here at Williamstown Elementary School and Providence Christian Academy in Georgetown, Kentucky.

I love and adore my wonderful husband, Josh, of 12 years.  Our children are two spoiled rotten dogs.  Becca Whitney is a loving and affectionate black schnoodle, and Abbie Lynn is a rambunctious gray schnorkie.  Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, fishing, playing with my dogs, traveling and shopping/going to yard sales!

Most importantly, I want to express my passion for teaching with you. I’m dedicated to helping children grow academically and enrich their lives through hard work and perseverance.   I have high expectations of my students, and I want to see each and every one of them succeed!  My goal is to provide a safe and loving environment for students to comfortably learn and grow!

I believe that forming positive relationships with you, as your child’s parent/guardian, is incredibly important.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any comments, questions or concerns.  Working together as a team will create a more positive and fulfilling learning experience for your child.  I look forward to a rewarding year that is filled with meaningful learning opportunities.
