Parents,
Elementary students will be STAR testing August 25-August 29.
STAR is given three times a year in reading and math to track growth, spot learning gaps early and adjust instruction in real time. This allows our teachers to make sure every student gets the necessary support to finish the year stronger and more confident than they started.
Please encourage your child to get plenty of rest the night before and eat breakfast in the morning before testing.
Below is a schedule of the days your child is testing in his/her homeroom class:
Kindergarten: Monday and Friday
1st Grade: Tuesday and Wednesday
2nd Grade: Wednesday and Thursday
3rd Grade: Tuesday and Thursday
4th Grade: Tuesday and Wednesday
5th Grade: Tuesday and Wednesday

This year, Broadway in Cincinnati is offering families of Williamstown Independent Schools discounted tickets for Back to the Future: The Musical!
All tickets are $10 each.

Williamstown Elementary 4th graders in Mrs. Lainhart's class used their observation skills today at multiple stations!
They checked out a snail and salamander, created a chemical reaction, analyzed several animal teeth, watched elephants, pandas and other animals on a live cam, monitored Beta fish and utilized their sense of smell to determined scents inside paper bags.

Here are the Williamstown JR High and Williamstown SR High supply lists! Supplies for Williamstown Elementary are provided to students through school fees, however, teachers may ask for additional items once school begins for the year. Any other supplies, including backpacks, that you want to purchase for your student is welcome.

The Williamstown Lady Demons Volleyball team will hold a Volleyball Camp for kindergarten through 5th graders July 31 and Aug. 1!
The camp will run from 1 to 3 pm in the WHS Gym and campers will learn fundamentals of hitting, setting, passing and serving from WHS players!
Bring running shoes, water a positive attitude!

REMINDER: Williamstown Elementary will hold its 2nd Little Demon Days session for incoming kindergartners from 9 to 11 AM Monday, July 7! Reserve a spot by calling or leaving a voicemail at 859-824-4184. Drop-off and pick-up will be at the Williamstown Elementary Cafeteria entrance near Gym 2.

We’re proud to welcome back one of our own—Carrie Coleman, a graduate of Williamstown High School, as our new Family Resource Youth Service Center Coordinator! For the past 13 years, Carrie has been a dedicated community partner, best known for her work as a 4-H Program Assistant and Grant County Parks Director. Now, she is excited to serve students and families in a new way, continuing her commitment to youth development and community connection right here at home.
